My heart goes out to all of you who can’t be with family and friends this Christmas, it’s truly disappointing and heartbreaking, especially on a year when all you want to do is surround yourself with your loved ones. The borders have closed here in Ibiza now so my mum won’t be making it over this year either.
It’s been a difficult year for so many in so many different ways, I want to personally thank all of you, our loyal customers for the continued support over the last years but especially this year.
And what a year it has been, heading back to the UK early March from my trip to New Zealand, unbeknown to me, straight into a lockdown. I made the difficult decision not to head to my home in Ibiza and to lockdown with my mum in the UK. I knew I would be more useful there and with the business being there too, at this point no idea for how long it would be. I spent 4 and a half months in the UK, the longest for a very long time. I was away from my home for 6 months in total. Overall it was a very positive experience, brought me and mum closer together, I was able to support my small team and I had time to connect with all of you, launching my first series of vlogs and having dress up Friday each week. Thanks to all of you, we were very busy during lockdown and we managed to keep all our small team working throughout.

I am also very aware how lucky I was to have a roof over my head and to be in a comfortable situation, when so many had an extremely hard time during lockdown, not just in the UK but all around the world. Especially in India, where they suffered one of the toughest lockdowns in the world.
When I heard what was going on over there and how harsh it was, I immediately wanted to help and give back to the people of the country I owe my business to. So I set up the “Let’s Feed India Together” campaign. we gave £5 for each pcs of spinning jewellery that we sold to purchase food packs in India for people in need via a charity called #donatekart. Customers also generously added extra donations to their shopping baskets too. We ran this campaign for 6 months and managed to send over 500 food packs. We have now ended the campaign, however we are still receiving donations which is very kind of you and we are of course passing them on.
We are currently looking at new initiatives to work with charities going into 2021.
As we look ahead to 2021, we reflect on what we have learnt in 2020. I for one am extremely grateful that I have had the opportunity to go inside when we couldn’t go out. Using meditation and other spiritual practices to find the peace and calm when everything else was so crazy.
I am also very grateful that all of you continue to buy from us, when you could go to a number of other online jewellery businesses, but you choose us and that makes me and my team feel really special…so thank you from all of us, without all of you, we wouldn’t have a business.
I want to also thank our amazing artisans in India who have kept making your jewellery even during tricky times. And especially thanks to my wonderful small all female team here in the UK who have kept positive and upbeat all through the darker times this year, they are the ones always there to give the best possible customer service and who send your jewellery out to you with love and care.
I am already thinking about new designs and ideas for the coming year, I do hope that your gifts are well received and they add a little sparkle to the recipients lives this Christmas.
I wish you all the very best Christmas possible this year.
