Festival Fever

Here at Charlotte’s Web HQ we officially have festival fever! As far as we’re concerned, the highlights of summer should always include making great memories with friends, listening to fantastic music, and catching any available rays - so festivals are right up our street. We have such a soft spot for UK festivals that over the past few summers we have even set up shop at some of the most vibrant events across the UK, from Secret Garden Party to Shambala! Hoping to bring a little bit of our eclectic style to festival shoppers wanting to stand out from the crowd. As we approach the end of June, the weather is heating up and as Glastonbury kicks off over the weekend the festival season is back with a bang. So whatever festival you’re heading to this summer, big or small - check out our essential tips for conquering the campsite and reigning with style.

1.  Invest in a Solar Powered Phone Charger

They are inexpensive, will keep you connected during longer festivals and will save you having to pay and queue at charging tents!

2 . The Three B’s!

Breakfast bars, baby wipes and blankets.

You should always try and eat something the morning of a festival, bringing a few breakfast bars along means you have a hassle free breakfast or snack to kick off your morning. Baby wipes seem obvious but could easily end up being your holy grail if there are muddy fields to contend with, they’re also great for keeping yourself and your tent fresh. And always pack at least one warm blanket as you can never be sure how cold your tent might get come nightfall.

3. Pack for all Weather

Regardless of what the weather report may be it’s always advisable to pack for rain.. just in case! A pair of wellies and a waterproof jacket would be the bare essentials even with a sunny outlooks, and of course lots off clean socks! Even dry festivals can end up mucky. Sun-cream and some kind of hat in hot weather can also save you from sunburn and sunstroke.

4. WATER!
Again it seems obvious but you’d be surprised how easy it may be to forget to bring water. One large bottle is the bare minimum you should bring.

Now you’ve got most of the basic’s down you can think a little more about your festival style! One of the main reasons why we love festivals so much is because they allow us to dress up, express ourselves and make a statement among the magic and chaos of the event. This is why we’ve often found events to be the perfect place to pop up stalls, because of the great reactions we get from festival goers. Below we’ve picked some of our favourite pieces from our SS14 summer range that we think would be a great addition to your festival wardrobe.
