Wow what a ‘summer’ that was!

We started early on the season with lots of local events, it was a tricky start with a cooler spring than in previous years…but hopefully that would lead to a long hot summer!

How wrong I was….wet event after wet event, the weather was incessant, but surely it must end….then in June we were at our yearly Guildford Craft Show which is normally pretty kind to us…this year there was high winds and massively heavy downpours…would this ever end?! I was shocked at how many of our customers still came out in these awful conditions to support us. Luckily lots of people were still off on holiday to sunnier climes!

At the end of June we also started with our festival season, this year we decided to take part in lots more festivals than we ever had before – We really did pick the year didn’t we!?

Mud, Mud and more mud, we were towed out of festivals and more worringly towed into them. Larmer Tree in Dorset was something else followed by the Secret Garden Party in Cambrideshire, I have never seen mud go through so many stages!!

There were many highs and lows to the festival season, the first part being very much a test of strength and character and a very steep learning curve.

The second part of the summer was a little more kind to us with a very Sunny WOMAD and Camp Bestival – yes we even did two festivals on one weekend.  Camp Bestival was amazing and so good to be somewhere sunny and warm and where everyone was so excited about our new collection – it was a huge success.  The kids clothing went down a storm, I had never had so many mini shoppers – it was great fun.

Wilderness in the Cotswolds was a dream….perfect sunny days and a an amazing location, we ended on the Isle of Wight at Bestival and again the weather was kind….we had was a frenzy on our jewellery collection which was very much  a good way to end.

The Future.......

This winter Charlotte is going on an amazing trip heading to Cairns, Australia to a festival to celebrate and watch a FULL Solar eclipse this in the year of 2012 is something extremely special. She will be then heading for an adventure to one of the remotest parts of the world to the Raja Ampat islands off the coast of West Papua in Indonesia….after she will be heading to Bali and staying around South East Asia for a while, she will be looking for new ideas, new influences and anything she thinks you might like!

We're  uploading new products all the time….we have lots of gorgeous scarves in our new winter scarf collection.  Our beautiful pure wool ruched scarves are really striking and come in four gorgeous colours. Lots of new colours in our everyday scarf collection too. These make great Chritmas gifts for all ages.

We have a new purse collection coming with antique style purses in a range of gorgeous leathers. Funky fleece lined Gilets to come too – these went down a storm at the festivals so we thought we should let everyone have the chance to buy one too.

We have new rings coming and some more to add to our new and very popular brass collection.
